Transitions and SEENPM invite applications for participation in a training of trainers program on information verification and open source online investigations for candidates from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro.
The one-year program, conducted within the project Debunking Misinformation in South East Europe, will provide a group of media educators from these countries with workshop and online learning opportunities as well as schemes of working as trainers in their own countries.
In the first phase of the project, the educators will attend a training workshop in Prague between 19 and 22 July. The intensive, two-day training will enable the educators to improve and learn new skills from leading experts in the field of open source investigation and verification tools and methods. The workshop will be conducted in English and will be followed up by an online course. In the second phase of the project, the educators will conduct workshops and online training for journalism students and young journalists in their own countries.
The organisers will cover the costs of participation in the program.
Suitable candidates will be lecturers at journalism and media studies, media trainers, senior journalists who frequently deliver training or secondary school teachers involved in media and information literacy activities.
Potential candidates should send their CVs and brief motivation letters to: email@example.com by 25 June.
The project is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy.
