Training on Economic and Political Reporting from SEE

Are you covering European financial and political affairs in Southeast Europe? Do you want to improve your reporting skills and get to know fellow colleagues in the region? Then you should take part in the program of Robert Bosch Stiftung. In cooperation with the Thomson Reuters Foundation, we support journalists committed to quality analysis and reporting on economic issues in Southeast Europe – in print, online, TV or radio.

The program, run by skilled ex-Reuters journalists, includes two training courses in London and Berlin. The participants will also travel to Brussels and Frankfurt to meet policy-makers and journalists covering European financial and political affairs.

The first training takes place in London and Brussels from 10 to 23 April 2016.
The second part of the training is scheduled from 11 to 24 September 2016 in Berlin and Frankfurt/Main.

The program invites applications from the following countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.

Requirements
Applicants must be fluent in English and be full-time professional journalists who have been working for at least two years with a recognized publication, website, radio, or television station. Applicants must have a portfolio that includes experiences in economic journalism or must otherwise demonstrate a strong interest in economic and political issues.

The deadline for applications is February 15, 2016.
