The fourth and final application round of 2015 has its deadline on September 15th at 11.59 pm Brussels time. Journalists with good ideas for European cross-border stories can submit their applications for a working grant until then.
The working grants are Journalismfund.eu’s main way of supporting in-depth quality journalism in Europe. Teams of at least two journalists from at least two different European countries can apply. After the application deadline, an independent jury evaluates all the applications and allocates the working grant. Read the rules for application and eligibility criteria carefully before applying.
The money for this application round comes from the Adessium budget.
Supported stories that have been published so far include The Migrants Files, a big data journalism project published simultaneously in six countries, Generation E, a crowdsourced project about Southern European expats in Europe, and In the Name of the State, an investigation into illegal arms trafficking in the Balkans during the Yugoslav Wars that resulted in a trilogy of investigative journalism books.
