Experts Compare Media Reforms in Ljubljana

Ljubljana – Peace Institute, as a member of the SEENPM, organized a two-day transregional conference “Comparing Media Reforms” in Ljubljana.  The meeting, which was attended by 20 experts from around the world, was be held from 29 to 30 November 2012 at the rectors’ hall of the University of Ljubljana.

The purpose of the conference was to exchange peer knowledge and critical reflection and to evaluate  and compare the social and historical dimensions of media systems transformations and current media reforms in different regions of the world.

The conference also provided an opportunity for networking of analysts and protagonists of media reforms and media system transformations aimed at democratization of the media sector in different regions of the world.
