Transitions is organizing a two-day online workshop on solutions journalism on 16-17 May for students, youth activists and media professionals between 18-30 years living in the European Union and interested in solutions-oriented storytelling.
Expert trainers and guest speakers from Transitions and beyond will guide the participants through the principles and practices of solutions journalism, a new approach to reporting that emphasizes the potential of solutions to social issues, rather than just the problems.
Over the course of two days, activists and journalists will learn how to apply the four pillars of solutions journalism to their reporting, discover how climate-focused solutions reporting can pave the way for climate action, explore how to re-engage audiences through solutions journalism, and discover innovative multimedia formats to publish solutions journalism stories.
Through interactive exercises, group discussions, and inspiring case studies, participants gain new skills, connect with fellow journalists and media professionals, and leave with practical tools and insights to bring solutions journalism to their work.
