Thomson Reuters offers workshop on reporting taboos [deadline: 25 April 2016]

Journalists in developing countries or countries in transition can apply for a scholarship to attend this training.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation is hosting the workshop “Reporting Taboo” July 11 to 15 in London.

The workshop will cover how to report on sensitive issues in an impartial way. Topics include story conception and planning; interviewing techniques; finding multiple sources to speak about sensitive issues; and more.

After the workshop, journalists will receive editorial guidance and mentoring support to help them research, report and produce their stories.

Travel and subsistence costs will be covered.

The deadline is April 25.
