Voices Awards Launch Second Round with €10,000 in Prizes

The second round of the Voices Awards has officially been launched, offering ten prizes of €1,000 each to exceptional journalists and media literacy advocates. The award, held in conjunction with the Voices 2025 festival, aims to celebrate and support innovative ideas and change-makers in journalism and media literacy. The festival, whose inaugural edition was held this year in Florence, will take place in Zagreb from 28 February to 1 March 2025, with free registration now open to the public.

Participants are invited to submit their applications showcasing their relevance, impact, and innovation within the fields of journalism or media literacy. The selection criteria are designed to identify professionals who are not only committed to their craft but also demonstrate a significant influence and forward-thinking approach in their work. Detailed guidelines for media literacy advocates and journalists are available online to ensure clarity and accessibility for all potential applicants.

Deadline for applications is 15 October 2024.

Winners of the Voices Awards will be revealed on 15 January 2025, with an awards ceremony scheduled during the Voices 2025 festival. Entries are open to individuals residing or established in the 27 EU Member States and select neighboring countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
